About BV Capital
We are a Dallas, Texas–based multifamily (primarily) GP focused on acquiring, developing, and operating apartment communities across the state’s growth markets. Our strategy pairs disciplined underwriting with hands-on asset management to drive durable cash flow and value creation in Texas submarkets we know block by block. We manage $300M+ of investor capital and, through our Bridgeview platform, have realized 17 assets totaling $440M+ of capitalization with a 33.9% average investor IRR and 2.84x multiple, typically over ~36‑month holds. Ross Curtis
President
Ross Curtis joined BV Capital in 2023 as the Vice President of Sales, focusing on the 1031 exchange/DST vertical. As President, he is now responsible for the distribution, marketing, and operations of Bridgeview’s DSTs and private placement offerings. This includes managing investor relations and communications, the capital raise and wholesale distribution process, and overseeing ongoing due diligence and asset management. Ross has been active in the investment and financial planning industry since 1993, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales & Operations at Megatel Capital Investment, the capital raising division of Megatel Homes in Dallas, TX. Ross holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 licenses. and is also the national sales manager of BV Securities. He has a B.B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems from Baylor University.
Steve May
Managing Partner
Steve May is the founder of MayCo Realty, which ultimately became Bridgeview Real Estate (“Bridgeview”). Mr. May is responsible for the strategic vision of Bridgeview and has taken the lead on sourcing deals, equity and debt for Bridgeview through his diverse contact base. Mr. May also oversees Bridgeview’s underwriting efforts as well as the strategic marketing and management of Bridgeview’s existing assets. Prior to Bridgeview, Mr. May Founded MayCo Realty and focused on acquisition and development projects as well as distressed real estate transactions. May also Co-Founded EM Real Estate Enterprises (“EMREE”) which concentrated on the acquisition of single-tenant, credit lease transactions. Mr. May was a commercial real estate lender with over ten years of structured and project finance experience including over $2.5 billion in total transaction volume and was the top producer in the country at two different financial institutions. Through his years as a real estate lender, Mr. May developed significant experience in retail, industrial and multifamily construction and investment. Furthermore, his experience in lending and vast contacts in the banking community has helped garner preferential financing terms for MayCo Realty, EMREE and Bridgeview.
